About Me

Hi, I'm Jenn, a small town girl from the Pacific Northwest who loves the rain and clouds. I'm a mom and wife first and foremost, an HR nerd by day, and a collector of gargoyles. I love people, animals, traveling, singing, iPhone photography, and am passionate about building community and cooking, which is where this blog comes in.

I've always enjoyed cooking (baking notsomuch, but we'll get to that), and am self-taught, with a lot of help over the years from Food Network. When we all got stuck at home as the pandemic started, I used cooking as an outlet. My daughter had also recently gotten me into Tiktok and I was inspired by some chefs there to do my own videos. I even had my first viral Tiktok in December of 2020 and have worked my way up to a few thousand followers. Pretty soon, friends and family on social media were asking me about restaurants and YouTube channels and cooking classes and cookbooks - a blog seemed more doable, so here we are.

The pandemic's been rough, but I hope you'll visit my Gargoyle Kitchen here until we can come together again in person.
